Prefold practice and C sleeping

I finally washed the prefolds enough to get to use them. They were so nice and fluffy!
Compared to that same envelope, and in a stack.




Next, some pictures of my practice so that ya'll can see how they work.

See how it's longer than the cover? So I fold the back/top down and then fold the sides in.

Then you just lay it in the cover and put it on baby (or bunny). What do you think, Caroline?



The 2nd option is to use the Snappi. A snappi has little teeth on the white section.

Again, lay the PF in the cover and fold the sides in.

Lay baby/bunny on top. I folded the sides so that the bottom is more narrow than the top- this helps later on.

Pull the PF up between babunny's legs and bring the flap from the back to the front. This makes a nice little pocket at the leg area to contain poo and such.

Use the snappi to lock it all in place. You attach one side, streeetch to the other and then streeeetch down.

Fasten the cover and voila! (thank you, Caroline, for stacking books onto the bunny)

Caroline in the diaper- I did the "lay-in" method first, then later the snappi method. Both worked great- she pee'd in one and poo'd in the other and no mess!

So, I'm very happy with them. I think she could technically be in a small cover (that's a med) but since the PF is so bulky maybe not.

In even better news, my brand new BumGenius 3.0s came today!! They were sent to me from Cotton Babies after the elastic went out on my olds ones. The CS dept. was so nice and helpful. I also got my Nellie's Laundry Soda to wash my dipes in, since using the wrong detergent can harm the diapers. I love it already- the smell is amazing even though there is no real fragrance.


Have I mentioned that C falls asleep in weird positions? uh, yeh...
